DynaMites Music is a program run by Grace Presbyterian Church for children aged 0-5 with their carers - mums and dads, nannies, grandparents - all are welcome.
We have fun singing, dancing, playing, crafting, and eating a yummy morning tea.
We start our morning with ‘free play’ in our main area from 9:30am. This is a great opportunity for your child to become familiar with the space, catch up with friends and have fun with their ‘favourite toys’. This time also creates a sense of belonging and strengthens friendships.
Our music program runs from 10-10:30am. During this time, we incorporate music and movement skills in an active and engaging way. Using the flexibility of music, we sing, dance, move and play instruments which help to develop social, language and physical skills. This also brings heightened awareness for rhythm, tempo, pitch, tone and volume. We also share stories, rhyme, puppets, parachute activities, dress ups and surprises in this session.
Following our organised program follows morning tea and another session of ‘free play’. This is a special time for all – particularly those who enjoy a ‘cuppa and a chat’. There is also a related craft activity available for all.
