There’s a lot to worry about right now— rising costs, global conflict, and a world that feels increasingly uncertain. It can feel like hope is in short supply.

This is not a new feeling. On the first Good Friday, everything seemed lost. Jesus—the one who healed, calmed storms, and raised the dead—was crucified and laid in a tomb. Hope looked buried, death victorious. But three days later, the tomb was empty. An angel said to the women who came looking for a corpse, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” (Matthew 28:5–6)

On that first Easter Sunday everything changed.

Jesus’ resurrection means sin is forgiven, death is defeated, and real hope is alive. The resurrection of Jesus is not just a past event—it is a present hope. It assures us that no matter what is happening in the world that sin is forgiven, death is defeated, and eternal life is secure for all who trust in Him.
